Resilience,

redefined-

holistically.

Grit drives results.

Resilience determines whether performance is sustainable, without breaking the people who deliver it.

I partner with organizations to strengthen human resilience across mind and body to protect leadership stability, decision quality, and long-term performance under sustained pressure.

THE BUSINESS PROBLEM

Organizations don’t fail because people lack motivation.
They falter when human systems are pushed beyond their capacity to recover.

Under sustained pressure:

  • Decision-making narrows
  • Emotional reactivity increases
  • Physical resilience declines

At first, performance holds — often driven by highly gritty leaders and teams. Over time, the cost shows up as burnout, illness, disengagement, errors, and turnover.

Research estimates burnout-related costs of $5,000–$10,000 per employee per year — costs that appear on balance sheets as lost productivity, leadership instability, and rising health claims.

This is not an individual failure. It is a systems design issue.

GRIT IS NOT THE PROBLEM — IT’S THE LIMIT

Most organizations are already powered by grit.

Grit enables people to push through pressure and deliver results.
But grit alone does not protect the human system.

When recovery and regulation are not built into how work is done:

  • High performers burn out or get sick
  • Leaders lose clarity under prolonged stress
  • Performance becomes volatile instead of durable

Resilience is not about trying harder.
It is about designing conditions where people can perform again and again without cumulative psychological or physiological harm.

Meet Kelly Greene

I’m Kelly Greene, a former corporate attorney and law firm owner, Harvard-trained resilience researcher, and founder of the Center for Holistic Resilience.

After more than 15 years practicing law, including in-house corporate roles, I developed deep insight into organizational risk, decision-making under pressure, and leadership dynamics in high-stakes environments.

My own experience with professional burnout and chronic illness led me to graduate training in psychology at Harvard, where my research focused on resilience and human adaptation to stress.

What both my work and the science make clear is that when stress and pressure are sustained without holistic resilience, the body and brain pay the price, especially in high-performing cultures.

Today, I advise organizations on how to move beyond burnout initiatives and build system-level resilience that protects both performance and human health.

The Holistic Resilience Framework™

A Universal Model of Human Resilience

The Holistic Resilience Framework™ is a proprietary, evidence-based model that defines how resilience functions in the human system across five interdependent dimensions: cognitive, emotional, physiological, relational, and purpose-based.

The framework is universal — applicable to anyone, anywhere.

The Center for Holistic Resilience specializes in applying this framework within organizational environments, where the cost of human strain shows up as performance degradation, leadership instability, and long-term risk.

The science is universal.
The application, governance, and scale are enterprise-grade.

HIGHER PURPOSE - Meaning, Motivation, and Directional Clarity

Purpose supports resilience by organizing effort, values, and decision-making — particularly during prolonged stress or uncertainty.

HEAD - Cognitive Clarity & Decision Stability

Chronic stress narrows attention and impairs judgment. This pillar supports cognitive flexibility and executive functioning under load.

HEART - Emotional Regulation & Adaptive Response

Emotional dysregulation accelerates burnout and conflict. This pillar supports awareness, regulation, and responsiveness without suppression.

HANDS - Embodied Habits & Behaviors

Resilience is biological. This pillar addresses stress physiology, recovery cycles, and embodied habits that prevent cumulative wear and tear.

HUMAN CONNECTION - Relational Safety & Community

Human systems regulate through connection. This pillar focuses on relational stability, trust, and psychological safety.

How Organizations Work With Me

I serve as the founder, architect, and lead advisor behind enterprise resilience engagements delivered through the Center for Holistic Resilience.

Organizations most often engage through:

Keynotes & Executive Briefings

High-impact presentations that reframe resilience beyond grit and introduce leaders to the science of sustainable performance.

Leadership & Team Trainings

Facilitated trainings designed to strengthen regulation, decision-making, and collaboration under pressure — without framing resilience as personal weakness or self-care.

Advisory & Partnership Programs

Longer-term partnerships supporting leadership teams and organizations in designing, governing, and scaling resilience systems over time.

*All engagements are grounded in the Holistic Resilience Framework™ and supported by the Center’s delivery team and governance model.

Who This Work Is For

This work is best suited for organizations that:

  • Rely heavily on high-performing leaders and teams
  • Are seeing signs of burnout, health strain, or leadership fatigue
  • Want more than short-term stress management solutions
  • Are ready to address resilience as a strategic capability, not a perk

This is not motivational speaking. It is not therapy. It is not traditional wellness programming.

It is a resilience infrastructure for human systems under pressure.

In addition to organizational work, I maintain a small private practice for high-achieving leaders who wish to engage the framework personally. Availability is limited and typically referral-based.
